-Walkthrough-
Walkthrough

Difficulty

You
start out locked in a jail cell. Read the diary in your inventory
then pick up the lockpick and letter that are lying on the floor
by the door. Read the letter then use the lockpick to unlock the
door and leave. You have no weapons at this point, so you need to
make good use of the shadows to avoid detection. The guard standing
with his back to your cell door has a purse worth 100g. and there
is a guard who patrols along this hallway that wears a purse worth
100g. (200g). Turn left outside the door, go up to the end of this
hallway, turn left and walk past the guard station then turn right.
This brings you to an intersection with yet another hallway, where
two guards patrol; one has the "Prison Tract" key on his
belt, the other a purse, worth 100g. (300g.). Turn left (N) and
then right into a hallway of cells. Unlock the first cell on the
left with the key and look for a ring, worth 100g. (400), lying
by the bones on the floor.
Leave the cell and walk back (S) along the hallway on your right
to the corner with the guard station. Turn right at the corner and
then turn left at the next corner. There's a door at the far end
that you can hear spiders hissing behind. Unlock the door with your
key, go in, through the tunnel at the back and climb down a ladder
into the sewers. Follow the tunnels (watch the bottom for water
arrows) until you get to a spot where it branches off to the right.
Go past to the end of the tunnel and you'll find 2 water arrows.
Pick them up, then go back to the branching tunnel and take it.
You'll find another water arrow along the way and then you'll end
up in a round area with dead bodies lying on the bottom. There's
one more water arrow here. Climb the ladder, open the hatch at the
top and climb out. The body closest to the sewer hatch is wearing
a blackjack. Pick it up and the objective to find your blackjack
ticks off.
Use your lockpick to unlock the door, go out into the hall and across
to the Interrogation Room. There is a bucket of water in here and
it contains 4 more water arrows. Leave this room, turn left and
follow the hall. The guard who patrols here has a purse, worth 100g.
(500). Go to the end of the hall and through the door. Once inside,
flip the two wall switches on the right to open two of the gates
out in the hall, then throw the switch beside the window that the
guard stands at to open the last gate. Pick open the chest to find
2 flashbombs.
Exit this room, turn right at the corner, go through the gate that
leads to the other guard station and into the station. The guard
in here is wearing another copy of the "Prison Tract"
key and there are 9 moss arrows (it looks like 3 but you get 9 in
your inventory) sitting near a locked chest. Pick open the chest
which holds 3 more flashbombs. You'll find another switch to flip
that opens the gate to the stairs.
Ist level
Go
up the stairs and into the guard station on the right. Pick a purse,
worth 100g. (600), from the guard, flip the switches to open the
gate and pick up a pack of cigarettes, worth 5g. (605). There are
two guards patrolling the hallway outside of the gate you opened.
Pick a purse, worth 100g. (705), from one of them and another purse,
worth 100g. (805), from the second one. Walk straight ahead (W)
up the hallway, past the door to Sgt. Bronson's quarters, which
you can't unlock and up to the Sparring Room doors.
Enter and turn to the left, where you'll see a body on the floor
with a sword sticking out of it. Take the sword, which is worth
100g. (905), and also a purse, worth 100g. (1005), from the body.
Walk down to the archery practice area and inside the gate, to the
left, there is a small lever. Flip it and look into the next room
through the windows. You'll see the lever opened a banner on the
wall and exposed a secret hiding place.
Leave the archery range, turn left and go down to the door to the
room where you saw the banner open. In the hidden cupboard, you'll
find your second lockpick, an invisibility potion, a healing potion
and 2 fire arrows. On the counter in here, you'll pick up 6 moss
arrows, 2 scouting orbs and 10 water arrows. Go back to the archery
area and pick open the chest to the right, where you'll find 11
broadheads, then leave the Sparring Room and turn left into the
Canteen.
On the shelves behind the bar, there are 2 plates, 1 large and 1
small, worth 20g. (1025), 2 gold wine bottles, worth 100g. (1125),
another plate, worth 10g.(1135), 2 plain plates, worth 20g. (1155),
and 2 packs of cigarettes, worth 10g. (1165).
Leave by the same doors and go into the Men's Bathroom on the left.
There's a coin, worth 20g. (1185), sitting on one of the sinks.
Next, go into the Lady's Bathroom next door and pick up a tiny sword,
worth 20g. (1205), from the side of the bathtub.
You now have both your lockpicks, so go to the door to Sgt. Bronson's
quarters and pick it open. Inside, on the wall to the right of the
door, is a lever. If you flip it twice, it closes the gate to the
stairway out in the hall. Read the book on the desk and pick up
the bottle of fine wine, worth 50g. (1255), and purple goblet, worth
15g. (1270). Take the gold urn, worth 100g. (1370), from the dresser
and a mask, worth 50g. (1420), mounted on the wall above the mantel.
Continue along the hallway, past the archway where you entered this
floor. The first door on the right leads to the servant's quarters.
In here, you'll find a pack of cigarettes, worth 5g. (1425), and
a locked chest. Pick it open to find a bronze coinstack, worth 5g.
(1430).
The next door on the right leads to the Women's Crew Quarters. Pick
open the chest on the right to get a statue, worth 15g. (1445),
and the middle chest holds a healing fruit.
The next door on the left opens into the Men's Crew Quarters. Starting
from the left side of the room, in the first chest, you'll find
a package of cigarettes, worth 5g. (1450), in the second chest,
a broadhead arrow, then an empty one. On the table at the end of
the room there's another package of cigarettes, worth 5g. (1455),
and a plain dish, worth 10g. (1465). In the next chest, there's
a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (1515). The middle one contains a
flashbomb and the last one is empty.
Back out in the hall, the next room on the left is another Ladies
bathroom. On the end of the bathtub, you'll find a tiny ring, worth
100g. (1615), and some coins, worth 20g. (1635). There are two water
arrows in the bathwater.
The double doors farther down the hall on the right open into the
kitchen. The manservant in here is wearing a spice bag, worth 40g.
(1675), and there's a healing fruit on the left side of the counter.
Above it, there are some little cupboards that open. They contain,
starting from the left, an invisibility potion, a healing potion,
a spice bag, worth 40g. (1715), and 2 spice bags, worth 80g. (1795).
There's a plate, worth 10g. (1805), in the first sink and above
it, on the shelves, there are 2 more plates, worth 20g. (1825).
There is another plate, worth 10g. (1835), on the shelves above
the far end of the counter and 2 spice bags, worth 80g. (1915) sitting
on the countertop. Take the sword out of the burrick, to complete
a second objective then look in the pot at the end of the same counter
for 2 gas arrows. Pick open the door that leads to a storeroom and
look on the floor in the corner for a statue, worth 15g. (1930),
then go into the freezer. Tucked in by one of the dead burricks
is a gem, worth 100g. (2030).
Go back out to the hall past the door on the left that leads into
the men's bathroom and up to the next door on the right. This is
a guardroom. Flip the lever on the wall then pick up a statue on
the desk, worth 15g. (2045), and a pack of cigarettes, worth 5g.
(2050). Sneak up to the next door on the right, which leads into
a second guardroom and flip the switch in here. The gate out in
the hallway that was blocking the stairs up to the next level opens.
Read the note on the desk, which gives you a hint of where to look
for your booty, and pick up the cigarette pack, worth 5g. (2055),
that is sitting on the desk.
Upper Floor
There
are a couple of guards patrolling the hallways up here and one of
them is wearing a purse, worth 100g. (2155). Turn right, go through
the double doors and into the guardroom on the left. You'll find
a bunch of little cupboards that contain a mine and a frogbeast
egg. There's a pack of cigarettes, worth 5g. (2160), lying on the
desk. There's a lock mechanism mounted on the end wall which requires
a cog. Cross the hall to the second guardroom and you'll see a second,
identical, lock mechanism. You must find the two cogs to open the
Evidence Lockup, which is behind the big, ornate doors at the end
of this hallway.
Turn around and walk up the hallway, past the stairs you came up
and along to the first door on the left, which leads into the "Theft,
Burglary and Fraud" office. Pick open Locker #3, where you'll
find a mine, Locker #4, where you'll find 3 packs of cigarettes,
worth 15g. (2175) and Locker #5, where you'll find a frogbeast egg.
Leave, continue along the hall and turn left into the side hallway.
On the left is a room labeled "Fraud, Burglary and Theft".
Pick the door lock and go in. Read the book and the scroll then
go back out and down to the next room on the left. This is the "Homicide"
office, but there is nothing much of interest in here, just a note
to read. Across the hall from here is the door to Sgt. Bronson's
Office, which you can pick open. You'll find a pair of spectacles,
worth 50g. (2225) and a pack of cigarettes, worth 5g. (2230) sitting
on the desk. There's an extra cylinder, worth 50g. (2280), sitting
beside the record player. Pick open the green safe, where you'll
find "Bronson's Wheel", which is one of the cogs that
you require.
The next room up the hall is the "Drugs and Vice" office
where you'll find a pack of cigarettes, worth 5g. (2285), sitting
on one desk and on the second desk, there's a statue, worth 15g.
(2300).
Return to the main hallway, turn left and go up to the file room.
In the little cupboards to the left as you enter, you'll find a
coinstack worth 12g. (2312), a statue, worth 15g. (2327), a crystal,
worth 25g. (2352), and a flash mine. On the desk, there is a book
that contains the instructions on how to enter the Evidence room
and it also says that Sgt. Bronson has the brass cog and Truart
has the silver cog.
Back out in the hallway, go through the archway into a foyer area
with a guard behind a counter. He's wearing the "Front door"
key and on the counter you'll find a silver coin stack, worth 12g.
(2364), a bronze coin stack, worth 5g. (2369), and a pack of cigarettes,
worth 5g. (2374). The large, ornate doors across the room from the
counter are the front doors, but leave them for later.
Continue across the room and into the next hallway. The first door
leads to the bathroom, where you'll find a pack of cigarettes, worth
5g. (2379), lying on the floor in the first stall. Continue down
to the "Officer's Mess", open the cupboards on the far
wall and pick up a trophy, worth 50g. (2429), dice, worth 50g. (2479),
and 3 fine wine bottles, worth 150g. (2629).
Next, go down the hall to the Dining Hall, and on the table you'll
find 2 gold candlesticks, worth 100g. (2729), and a vase, worth
100g. (2829). In the wall cupboard, there are four fine wine bottles,
worth 200g. (3029), 2 gold goblets, worth 50g. (3079), and 4 purple
goblets, worth 60g. (3139).
The doors at the end of the hallway lead into Sheriff Truart's private
rooms. The first room is his office and you can read a book on the
desk. Look on the corner shelf to the left of the desk (facing the
front of the desk), for a tiny ring, worth 100g. (3239). Pick it
up, then frob the lady's picture beside it to open a secret panel
on the wall behind the desk. In here, you'll find the "Silver
Cog". Pick up the other small picture, worth 50g. (3289), then
go into the side room to the north. Take the blue chest, worth 25g.
(3314), and the 2 blue cups, worth 100g. (3414), that are sitting
on top of the cupboards. Inside the cupboards, you'll find a mine
and a pack of cigarettes, worth 5g. (3419). Frob a book on the shelves
twice to open the doors to the garden. Jump into the pond, pick
up a water arrow that adds 6 to your equipment and open the black
chest that is sitting in a wall niche. Inside, there's a purple
purse, which is your booty and ticks off that objective.
Climb out of the pool, return to the office and go through the door
on the south side into the sitting room. Frob the statue on the
mantle to move a footstool in front of the piano. Under it you'll
find evidence of who betrayed you, which ticks off another objective.
Sitting on the floor in front of the fireplace, there are 2 fine
wine bottles, worth 100g. (3519), 2 gold plates, worth 100g. (3619),
and 2 gold goblets, worth 50g. (3669). There's a gold candlestick,
worth 50g. (3719), sitting on top of the piano.
The door at that end of the room opens into the bedroom. There are
two black chests in here that contain a statue, worth 20g. (3734),
and a green rolled tapestry, worth 150g. (3884). Sheriff Truart's
Teddy Bear is sitting on the bed. Take it to complete another objective,
then head into the bathroom. Behind the corner screen, there is
a blue chest that holds a tiara, worth 125g. (4009). There's a gold
candlestick, worth 50g. (4059), a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (4109),
a gold plate, worth 50g. (4159), and a gold goblet, worth 25g. (4184),
sitting on the edge of the bathtub.
You now have both of the cogs you require to open the Evidence Room,
so make your way back to the guardrooms that are just outside it.
Use Truart's silver wheel in the south room lock then pull the lever
beside it. Cross to the other guardroom and repeat the procedure
with Bronson's bronze wheel. When you pull this lever, the doors
to the Evidence room open. Be very quiet because inside you'll find
one of the large Children standing guard. Turn to your left and
starting with the first shelf, you'll find a book, worth 100g. (4284)
and opera glasses, worth 100g. (4384), then on the second shelf,
a flute, worth 200g. (4584), and a small blue chest, worth 200g.
(4784). On the third shelf, there's a picture, worth 100g, (4884),
then continuing around the room, you'll find a sword, worth 100g.,
(4984) and two daggers, worth 200g. (5184), a tiara, worth 125g.
(5309), and beside it, a ring (this is really hard to spot), worth
100g. (5409). Next, there's a trophy, worth 100g.(5509), and three
gems, worth 300g. (5809). Sitting on the shelves along the back
wall, you'll find a large vase, worth 100g. (5909), a purse in the
black chest, worth 100g. (6009), a winged statue, worth 15g. (6024),
another purse in a black chest, worth 100g. (6124), and a mask,
worth 50g. (6174). Now, clean out the shelves on the side wall which
hold 3 blue cups, worth 300g. (6474), 2 large silver cups, worth
200g. (6674), a picture, worth 100g. (6774), another large silver
cup, worth 100g. (6874), and a free-form statue, worth 100g. (6974).
The last two shelves before the door hold a sceptre, worth 100g.
(7074), a bottle, worth 100g. (7174), a silver bracelet, worth 100g.
(7274), and a golden skull, worth 100g. (7374).
Getting to the City
You've
cleaned this place out so make your way to the front doors that
you passed by before and unlock them with the "Front Door Key".
There are two guard stations, one on each side of the yard, but
there's really no reason to go into either of them, unless you are
trying to get all the pick pockets. Each has an archer on the roof
with an arrow you can pick. The "Front Door" key also
opens the gates across from the front door. Use it and follow the
tunnel to the waterfront area.
Turn left as you exit the tunnel and walk around to the other side
of the wall, where you'll see a ladder you can climb up to a small
apartment. In the chest, there's a spice bag, worth 40g. (7414).
Climb back down and proceed to the water's edge. Wade in to the
right (W) of the ship and look for a green gem, worth 100g. (7514),
resting on a ledge between the rocks at the water's edge.
Board the ship and inside the ship's cabin, there's a gold urn,
worth 100g. (7614), a clock, worth 25g. (7639), a gold goblet, worth
25g.(7664), a gold plate, worth 50g. (7714), and a fine wine bottle,
worth 50g. (7764). Go back out onto the ship's deck and climb down
into the lower level. Move the boxes at the far end of the cabin,
open the door in the floor then jump down into the compartment below.
The mission ends.
