The Secret of Sir Stefan

-Walkthrough-

Walkthrough by Nightwalker

Difficulty - Expert

(Note: Any doors that aren't indicated as requiring a key are either unlocked or can be picked open.)

Lady Irmgard's House

You begin the mission in an alleyway. Walk up to the wooden gate, open it and go through into a town square. Swim across the moat, climb out on the other side, go through the tunnel on the south wall and into another small courtyard. Walk down a short flight of stairs on the east side of this courtyard and you'll see a fine wine bottle, worth 50g., sitting by a door. The house on the south side of the courtyard has a plaque by the door, identifying it as the residence of Lady Irmgard. Sir Andre walks through this courtyard and he is wearing the "Key to Lady Irmgard's house". One of the guards who patrol through this area wears a purse, worth 100g. (150).

Once you have the key and the purse, go back to the door to Lady Irmgard's house and let yourself in. In the room to the left, which is the dining room, you'll find only a platter of sushi. Through the doorway on the right, you'll find a snack preparation area. There are 2 fine wine bottles, worth 100g. (250), sitting on the counter near the servant girl and, on the shelves at the other end, behind some bottles, you'll find 2 spice bags, worth 80g. (330). In the room directly across from the front door, you'll find Lady Irmgard, wearing a purse, worth 100g. (430). You'll also find a gold urn, worth 100g. (530), on the coffee table, 2 vases, worth 100g. (630), on the mantel, and a plate, worth 10g. (640), mounted on the wall over the fireplace. The stairs to the upper floor are through the curtained archway on the south wall.

There are 3 doors in the upstairs hallway. The door on the right (S) leads into Sir Andre's bedroom, where you'll find a book sitting on the desk. Beside it, there is a gold filigree pencil cup. Frob it and the painting above the desk moves aside and you'll see a harp. Take it and the objective to "Steal Lady Irmgard's precious Harp" ticks off. The room on the left-hand side (N) is a bathroom where you'll find a comb and mirror, worth 24g. (664), and a gold candlestick, worth 50g. (714), sitting on the side of the tub. There are 4 water arrows in the tub. The last door opens into Lady Irmgard's bedroom, where you'll find a silver coinstack, worth 12g. (726), a ring, worth 100g. (826), and a necklace, worth 200g. (1026).

Mystic's Soul

Leave Lady Irmgard's house, turn left (W), go through the tunnel and out into another small square. On the right is a Grocers shop where you'll find 3 moss arrows in a wooden chest, 3 healing fruit on the shelves, and 3 spice bags, worth 120g. (1146), on the top shelf behind the counter. In a little cupboard under the counter, you'll find a bronze coinstack, worth 5g. (1151), a silver coinstack, worth 12g. (1163), a gold coinstack, worth 25g. (1188), and a cash box that contains a purse, worth 100g. (1288). Walk back to the canal and go through the tunnel to the east into another small square. Turn left (N), then left again (W) down into a small yard with a well. There are 4 water arrows in a bucket near the door and a well in the center of the yard. Jump into the well and swim until you come up into a canal. You'll find the "Mystic's Soul" floating in the water near the far end and past it, lying on the bottom, are 5 water arrows. Swim back, climb out of the well and walk back out to the courtyard. Across from you (E) is an archway with a door into the Inn on the right.

Inn

You'll find a bronze coinstack, worth 5g. (1293), sitting on one table. There's another bronze coinstack, worth 5g. (1298), sitting on the floor beside the leg of the other table. In the SW corner, down close to the floor, there's a tiny lever that moves the animal head mounted on the wall. In behind it, you'll find a gold pocket watch, worth 25g. (1323). There are 2 gold cups, worth 50g. (1373), 2 fine wine bottles, worth 100g. (1473), and 2 purple cups, worth 30g. (1503). In the kitchen, there's a gold plate, worth 50g. (1553), lying in the sink, a gold coinstack, worth 25g. (1578), in a chest, a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (1628), on the shelves, and 2 more spice bags, worth 80g. (1708), sitting on the counter beside the shelves.

Leave the Inn, turn right (E) into another small courtyard and go over to the wooden door to the south. There is a spice bag, worth 40g. (1748), sitting up against it. There's an archway on the east side of this courtyard but there's a guard at the far end that's difficult to get past, so retrace your steps past the Inn door into the other courtyard and turn right (N) through the tunnel to another, larger square.

The guard standing over by the fence is wearing a purse, worth 100g. (1848). To your right as you enter there's a Dairy where you'll find a purse, worth 100g. (1948), in a chest and 2 sets of coins, worth 40g. (1988), sitting on the counter. Turn right (E) through yet another tunnel. There's a guard outside with her back to you wearing a purse, worth 100g. (2088). The building to your left (N) is the Bookstore. Inside pick up 2 vases, worth 100g. (2188), from the windowsills then look for a little lever on the leg of the desk. It moves the small bookcase aside and in behind is a hole with a ladder. Climb it to the bedroom where you'll find a gold candlestick, worth 50g. (2238), a gold plate, worth 50g. (2288), a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (2338), and a gold cup, worth 25g. (2363), sitting on a small table. On a desk beside the bed, there's a gold coinstack, worth 25g. (2388), a silver coinstack, worth 12g. (2400), coins, worth 20g. (2420), and on the floor under the desk, a purse, worth 100g. (2520). Now head back out into the square and look in the center garden for a healing fruit.

Up the street to the east, there's a house on the left with an unlocked wood door. Inside, the first door on the left is the kitchen where you'll find a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (2570), a plain cheese plate, worth 10g. (2580), and 2 spice bags, worth 80g. (2660). Through the archway on the right, there's a dining room, which contains a pocket watch, worth 5g. (2665), and a plate over the fireplace, worth 10g. (2675). Through the archway straight ahead, there is another room, with a vase, worth 50g. (2725), sitting on top of a cabinet and a room on the right where you can see 2 archers standing by a fireplace. In this room you'll find a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (2775), and a purple cup, worth 15g. (2790).

Upstairs, there's a turquoise vase, worth 50g. (2840), sitting on a table. Through the wood door near that table, there's a bedroom where you'll find a blue chest, that contains a purse, worth 100g. (2940). There's a pair of scissors, worth 12g. (2952), and a silver locket, worth 12g. (2964), sitting on the bedside table. In the nursery next door, check the floor for a purse, worth 100g. (3064), lying on the floor behind the cradle. Through the west door of the nursery is another room with a door to the balcony on the left. Here you'll find 2 sets of coins, worth 40g.(3104), on the windowsill, then return to the street.

Walk back down towards the Bookshop, then turn left (S) through a tunnel. Directly across from you is "Christine's Kinderland". You'll find a gold candlestick, worth 50g. (3154), 2 gold coinstacks, worth 50g. (3204), 2 sets of dice, worth 100g. (3304), and a purse, worth 100g. (3404), in here.

Sir Stefan's

You'll find Sir Stefan's Weapons shop to the east. There are 6 water arrows in the water trough and 7 moss arrows, 2 regular mines, 2 gas mines, 5 fire arrows, and 2 swords, worth 10g. (3414), displayed on the counter. Through the door on the east wall is a storeroom. Look behind the crate in the north-east corner of the room for a tiny switch on the wall. Flip it and another big crate slides aside. Behind it there's a niche which holds 3 gas arrows and the "Key to the server" (which should be Key to the Sewer). In a chest behind another crate, there are 3 flashbombs.

Sir Stefan's Secret Lair

Head back to the canal that you swam across near the beginning of the mission, jump in and swim to the metal gate at the west end. It doesn't light up and has no visible lock, but use the "server key" (sewer key) on it and it will unlock. Once it's open, swim through and follow it to a dock at the far end. Climb the ladder, enter the building then turn left (S) through the door to the kitchen. In here you'll find a turquoise vase, worth 50g. (3464), on the fireplace mantel and, on the shelves to the left of the counter, there are 2 fine wine bottles, worth 100g. (3564), and 2 spice bags, worth 80g. (3644). On the shelf over the sink are 3 plates, worth 30g. (3674), and in the sink, there are 2 water arrows. On the counter to the right of the sink there's a speed potion and a healing fruit. The other door takes you into the dining room where you'll find 2 bronze coinstacks, worth 10g. (3684), on the dining table and some loose coins, worth 40g. (3724), on the corner shelf, to the right of the plant.

Walk back into the foyer and down the north hallway. The first door on the right opens into a gambling room where you'll find 2 bronze coinstacks, worth 10g. (3734), on the table. The first door on the left leads into a bedroom, where you'll find a bronze coinstack, worth 5g. (3739), in a chest and a pair of scissors, worth 5g. (3744), lying on a table.

The next room on the left opens into another hallway. The first door on the left opens into the same bedroom as above. The first door on the right takes you into a bedroom, where you'll find a coin, worth 5g. (3749), in a chest. The second door on the right opens into another bedroom, where you'll find some broadheads in one chest and a healing potion in the second one. The last door takes you into yet another bedroom, where you'll find a purse, worth 100g. (3849), in a chest. Head back up to the first hallway, jog left and then go through the archway to the east into another hall.

The first door on the right leads back into the gambling room. The first door on the left is another bedroom. The chests in here contain a frogbeast egg, and a coin, worth 5g. (3854). There is a dagger, worth 5g. (3859), stuck into one of the tables. The second room on the right is a bathroom, where you find a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (3909), sitting on the floor in the left (E), cubicle. The end room is for storage and in the chest here you'll find a flashbomb. Tucked in behind the crate in the SE corner there are 2 silver coinstacks, worth 24g. (3933). Head back to the entrance foyer and go through the archway to the base of the stairs to the second level. Turn to the left (S) and frob the unlit torch on the end wall. The picture on the wall to the right slides up and behind it you'll find an invisibility potion.

Upstairs, there's a guard standing by a set of double doors, but he's pretty easy to sneak up on. Open the double doors and enter a round room. Cross it and walk down the hallway to the first room on the right, which is a bathing room. There's a silver mirror, worth 12g. (3945), sitting on a table in here, and a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (3995), a gold plate, worth 50g. (4045), a gold goblet, worth 25g. (4070), and a silver comb, worth 12g. (4082), sitting on the side of the tub. There are 2 water arrows in the bath water. The room on the left of the hallway, across from this room, is the toilet. There is a ring, worth 100g. (4182), sitting on the floor to the right of the toilet.

The double doors across from the end of the hall open into a sitting room, where you'll find 2 gold candlesticks, worth 100g. (4282), a vase, worth 50g. (4332), and a mask, worth 50g. (4382). Turn down the hallway to the west and at the corner, turn left to the end room. This is a large Library/Office where you'll find a pair on eyeglasses, worth 50g. (4432), sitting on the desk. On the shelves behind it, there's a globe, worth 75g. (4507), 2 green rolled tapestries, worth 300g. (4807), 2 green vases, worth 40g. (4847), and a green safe. Inside it you'll find a gold nugget, worth 100g. (4947).

The west door on this hallway takes you into a bedroom, where you'll find a ring, worth 100g. (5047), on the bedside table, 2 gold candlesticks, worth 100g. (5147), on the mantel and a plate, worth 10g. (5157), on the wall above them. There is a diamond, worth 100g. (5257), sitting on the floor in the corner beside the sofa. The loot objective of 5000g. should now be completed.

The north door leads into a small parlour where you'll find a gold cup, worth 25g. (5282), on the table, a fine wine bottle, worth 50g. (5332), on the floor underneath it, 2 gold candlesticks, worth 100g. (5432), on the mantel, and a plate, worth 10g. (5442), mounted on the wall above them.

Back out in the hall, walk to the corner and turn left (E), past the hallway to the stairs. Go all the way to the far end where you can see a guard in another hallway. The door to the right (S), opens into a dining room where you'll find a large, purple and gold urn, worth 100g. (5542), on the table and 2 gold candlesticks, worth 100g. (5642), sitting on the mantel. There's a plate, worth 10g. (5652), mounted on the wall above the fireplace.

The Mystic's Heart

The door at the north end of this hallway takes you into Sir Stefan's rooms where he is standing with his back to the door. On the mantel above the fire, there are 2 gold candlesticks, worth 100g. (5752). There's a bottle of fine wine, worth 50g. (5802), a gold plate, worth 50g. (5852), and a gold cup, worth 25g. (5877), sitting on the coffee table. Go through to Sir Stefan's bedroom where you'll find a black chest that contains a torc, worth 350g. (6227). Head back to the other room and frob the golden skull on the right (N) side of the fireplace. The couch and painting on the far wall slide back to expose an opening. Mantle up into the hole and follow the tunnel to the end where it overlooks a large room.

You can see some treasure and the missing stone, but there are also a number of red burricks. Put out the torches then climb down the ladder and open the chests, to find a golden idol, worth 75g. (6302), a tiara, worth 125g. (6427), a ring, worth 100g. (6527), and a necklace, worth 200g. (6727). "The Mystic's Heart" is displayed on the pedestal in the center of the room. Take it and you'll complete another objective. Retrace your steps to Sir Stefan's room, leave the building and swim back through the canal. Mantle out on the north side of the canal and return to the spot where you started the mission and it ends.
